We’ve digitally reimagined the traditional games of Singapore’s past, from five stones to chapteh, to help preserve them and introduce this piece of cultural heritage to a new generation.

Younger participants often wrote in bubbly print style, where the letters look playful and round.
Gen X and boomers were about seven times more likely to write in cursive compared with other generations, while none of the Gen Alpha participants used it.
✍️sharing our new story: Why Handwriting Matters!
We analyzed the handwriting of 90 people aged 6 to 69 in Singapore and used machine learning to identify three main writing styles. You can even test your own handwriting!
