The wood shed isn't near the house so aside from all the cutting splitting and stacking, the carrying of logs into the house and emptying the ash every day often in bad weather was a pain. I like that I now have the choice if we use it and I can factor in the extra cleaning.

I suspect post menopause we all do, it's just whether or not it's at a level that needs intervention. Elsie gave me an osteoporosis test in Jan, pleased to report I bounced and my wrists stayed in one piece.

It's a generational thing in our family. It was to save the family the financial burden of a burial when it became available to the masses via corporation crematoria.

Eventually I'm required to kick it, but only after it's reached the right level of taste.

It was one of the first things we did to make the old bit of the house usable at the start of our renovations and does a great job of keeping the damp at bay there, just glad we don't have to rely on it like we used to, it was a lot of work.

Yesterday I filmed several baby birds walking across a street directly at my camera and asked Bluesky to suggest music

Several dozen folks did

Some even dubbed music over the original clip.

I haven't been able to get this out of my head.

So I give you

A Bluesky exclusive:

As someone who's parents were stuck in the Suez canal on a general cargo ship while missiles flew over their heads I endorse this view.

They've made a small come back, you can get plain colour dresses with jersey top and cotton skirt, really versatile and I have a couple of maxi dresses I wear like that.

A thing that’s shocking me about the lack of coverage is air safety info. Hi, Glasgow folk, from a Southern Californian transplant: ash from old buildings is super gnarly. Please wear a respirator if you need to be near the scene.

Queen Street is still available, but it goes different places!

Every year, I post this for International Women’s Day. It was written in 1975 and I’ll stop when we no longer need to read it. Don’t hold your breath.
