🥵❤️🔥 @ekkoastral.bsky.social are back with “𝖍𝖔𝖗𝖘𝖊𝖌𝖑𝖚𝖊,” the heaviest song from the band to date. The 2-minute slugfest is a baptism in fire that sees the 3-piece D.C. punk band reborn as the harbingers of sludgy dystopiacore, brimming with confidence.

"She falls into a similar niche as a star like Kylie Minogue or Robyn, who’ve proven that the best level of fame you can achieve as a woman is the kind where the general public doesn’t have more than a vague idea of who you are but a small yet devoted fanbase of gay guys would die for you." - YES
Put this on my tombstone
Photograph of the cover of a large, softcover book: a 1960s style design with a bunch of retro illustration art of a cow, a record player, a tractor, a man’s face, etc. there’s a title reading MODERN TWANG By David Goodman And above the title it says An Alternative Country Music Guide & Directory
A page of the very thick book with individual entries on a bunch of alt country bands - the Pine Dogs, Pine State, Pinetop Seven, the Pinetops, the Polkats, Toni Price
A section headed WWW PAGES which is a number of entries on different web pages, with the URLs written out
A page headed ONLINE MAILING LISTS filled with entries about individual mailing lists
Found this 1999 compendium of information about alt-country bands at a used bookstore today, looking at each of these images will cause more psychic damage than the one before

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.
Alphabetized by author’s last name, no regard for genre/publisher/etc
The chances of Zohran using New York by Addison Rae as his walkout song during a campaign rally are slim but not zero
If Gen Z really wants to dunk on millennials, they should learn about Foursquare and go around saying stuff like, "I hear you're the mayor of this Panera Bread."

Same to you!
Thanks to all of you who attended the first Liberation Weekend, and the help of all our amazing sponsors, we were able to raise more than $30K for GLM. We’re still crunching the numbers though and the total may be more than $35K.
We look forward to next year, because there’s no way we’re letting this momentum slow down. And we hope this event and its non-profit model inspires more festivals like it in other parts of our fracturing nation. Grateful, beaming and eternally yours, the Liberation Weekend team.
More than $30K for trans rights. Can we get a W in the chat
