I agree with this. Why? Because Iβve actually damaged a tooth on over frozen in-flight ice cream. When itβs served itβs either harder than granite or something that resembles tepid soup with no in-between.

There are plenty of short hiking & interpretive trails all over the park and most arenβt terribly strenuous. Some take you around rock formations, others through cactus forests. Winter & spring are best times to visit because it gets extremely hot especially in the canyons.
When youβve been attending conventions in this same convention hall 3x/year for nearly 25 years then youβre here for another type of show totally unrelated to your daytime business, it just feels slightly strangeβ¦
Weather has been overall crappy since Iβve been in the area. Cold, damp and foggy for 3 days straightβ¦
Now I wanna see the family photo with that other kid they locked in the basement never to be seen againβ¦
Now standing in front of the one artifact that irritates Brazilians the most, perhaps with the exception of the game ball from 7-1β¦
Itβs sure nice to see the Taiwan πΉπΌ team in the WBC turn into jobbers for the real contendersβ¦
Maybe itβs a long term geopolitical play: suck so horribly that the PRC will want to disavow any relationship claim they have made or might make in the near future.
Hotel rates in Europe are an even worse value compared to the U.S. Rates are expensive particularly in summer, the rooms are generally older, smaller, less functional. The food is usually better although never cheap by any means.
For comparison purposes Iβm currently at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. Itβs sold out for tonight but tomorrow night the cheapest room is $285/night. Thatβs cheaper than the other Hilton related hotels in the areaβ¦
At this time of year the Jersey shore has fairly cheap rates.
Different night to βοΈ #PaxEx but same usual seat, same frequent 5hr long route and same no upgradeβ¦
The ironic part is how heβs giving advice about pickpockets. Wasnβt that long ago when he wrote about how people should just let pickpockets take your stuff without a fight.
Heβs supposed to give a talk at an event Iβll be at this Sunday. Not much he ever talks about goes beyond beginner shit.
This is why at this time of year I enjoy going to the East Coast but hate the trip back. Flight time eastbound to IAD/EWR/BOS can take just around 4hrs on the best days. Westbound have taken long as 7 1/2hrs. When itβs an A320 an unscheduled fuel stop at DEN or SLC happens occasionally.
Part of that building is still in use as the headhouse/ check-in area of Terminal 1.
At the platform across the street half the timeline is thoroughly filled with constant #Dubai π¦πͺ glazing while the other half is filled with nonstop Dubai & Dubai expat bashing.
Either way hereβs a few photos from my visit to Dubai from last monthβ¦
Desert national parks (Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Big Bend, etc.).
Will be in Baltimore (& D.C.) later this week. If youβll be near the Baltimore Convention Center please come by and say Hi.
From earlier today when the skies actually cleared up enough for a halfway decent photo for the first time since last Wednesday. Only lasted for about 90 minutes but still better than nothing.
Meanwhile far from the part of the world with all the commotion happening and where I was earlier this month, thereβs this place that looks like a good spot to lounge around at for a bitβ¦
The T2 Kris Lounge is the worst one. Because itβs closest to the UA use gates itβs the one most UA customers end up at. The T3 lounge is the best one but it is a long walk back to T2.
T3 is the newest terminal in the horseshoe, is the most aesthetically pleasing and is where the butterfly garden & theater are located. Going from T3 to T2 (where UA flies out of) is a long walk but the AirTrain line is the one that passes through Jewel that gets you the great waterfall view.
Bottom line with SIN (not including T4) is itβs a horseshoe layout with multiple piers sticking out of the horseshoe while Jewel is in the middle closer to T1. You can get everywhere without needing to take the AirTrains. The one flaw IMO is security isnβt centralized but at the gate areasβ¦
Been here for 3 days and the weather still hasnβt changed the entire timeβ¦
4 views of Jewel at SIN Changiβ¦
So thereβs a cabinet member from the Trump administration attending my trade show todayβ¦

Nah, screw that.
Look where weβre at for the next few daysβ¦
Now βοΈ #PaxEx βing on one of Unitedβs βdirty dozenβ. IYKYK if youβre a frequent flier on United.
Just had a convention friend text me asking if I was in town already: they had a spot for me on the nighttime cemetery tour theyβre booked on tonight. Oh wellβ¦
I have an even better option: getting stuck in commute traffic on the way to the airport to catch a red eye flight tonightβ¦
Whatever their first asking price is start at 40% that. If itβs something you really want then work your way up: you can always go up but not down. If they make a remark at you you answer accordingly. Keep a smile, donβt take anything personally. Always pay with cash if thereβs an agreement.
Just like Dubai, Kuala Lumpur & Singapore thereβs a great chance youβll eventually duck into a mall just for the air conditioning & restrooms. In Manila walkability depends on neighborhoods as does safety. In Intramuros & Makati you should be fine during the day. Other areas it depends.
