President Trump, Speaker Johnson, and Leader Thune can prevent this.
A federal government shutdown would disproportionately hurt Marylanders.
Republicans control the White House and both chambers of Congress.
They need to work together to stop this chaos and keep the government open.
Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are hurtling our country toward a government shutdown that would accelerate the assault weβve seen on our people and our economy from Day 1 of this White House.
The decision to refuse to come to the negotiating table is a choice.
Join the Maryland Democratic Party for our statewide Talk-Back Tour in Baltimore City! This event is your chance to share whatβs on your mind, speak directly with party leaders, and help shape the future of the Democratic Party in Maryland.

This Administrationβs witch hunt against federal workers in this country is a stain that will stick to our country for generations to come.
Trump continues to attack them in his attempt to shut down the government.
Iβm in DC ready to vote for a bipartisan budget that keeps the government open, protects health care, and funds commitments like the Key Bridge.
But the GOP plan on the table would gut these basic priorities. Republicans must work in good faith to deliver a responsible budget.
Happy National Voter Registration Day!
The Baltimore City Dems are out all the time registering voters and helping to make sure you know your voting location information.

From frozen education funding to devastating SNAP cuts, Trumpβs agenda puts Maryland families last.
We canβt afford another four years of this.
