This weekend was about energy conservation for my home. Our solar array had one 10 kWh battery, and we are upgrading to two 16 kWh batteries (next up, upgraded panel to prep for mini splits and becoming fossil fuel free).
As a fellow Ohioan who has been driving full EV for 8 years, I think you are underestimating how developed the infrastructure is. Days with less than 250 miles of travel, I don't even plan a stop (and further than that, I need a meal break, which then doubles as a charging stop).
