Trump’s deportation strategy is akin to evicting the architects and builders while claiming to renovate the house—economically reckless and historically shortsighted. Perhaps if he studied the nation’s foundation, he’d realize that immigrants aren’t the problem—they’re the blueprint.

Trump swapping bureaucrats for loyalists is like firing the weatherman and hiring a guy who just loves sunshine. The government isn’t a reality show, but he sure wants all the contestants to swear loyalty to him. If expertise doesn’t matter, let’s start picking doctors based on their high-fives.
