"And like with lightning during the monsoons, we count the seconds until we hear her voice in return, the brief but enduring tremor she imparts on the bedtime emptying of our world."
This is just so heartbreakingly beautiful. 💙

Yes! One of the most compelling mags out there, imo! 💜
Thank you @spencerwriting.bsky.social for spending time with @electricsheepsf.bsky.social yesterday!

this is, still, one of my favorite stories I've ever written.
Yeah, I think rending is the right word. ❤️💔
Cannot wait to discuss these amazing, wildly imaginative, lyrical stories!!
"There is nothing that changes time, not speed, not love, not distance. It slips, moment by moment, by. I try to hold it."

"He’d heard once that the risk of beached whale corpses was their exploding. The pressure of death built and built inside them."
@spencerwriting.bsky.social @flashfictiononline.bsky.social
"...so these kind of molds, they love rot. Big picture? It’s gone and fallen in love with your reflection while you were too busy hating yourself."
Loved this the first time I read it. Fun to revisit!

"The second problem being you have not learned to love the soft animal of your heart, and like any soft animal without love, it’s rotted in your chest..."
This is so fun. @spencerwriting.bsky.social in @hexliterary.bsky.social
"This spell is all I have left that cannot be claimed by them."
@spencerwriting.bsky.social @lightspeedmagazine.com
"In a world of industrialized spells, tinged by burnt coal and blood money, make magic that sings for its own sake."
Check out this story from @spencerwriting.bsky.social in @lightspeedmagazine.com - great use of form & a peek into the mind of a tortured magic artist!
Why not revisit this whole issue!

ICYMI!
Between this one and "Winter's Song" in FF#5, if @spencerwriting.bsky.social writes a story with song somewhere in the title, I think I'm legally required to buy it.
💯
had a lot of fun answering some questions about TIGS and writing!
"I did not ever think I would find people who knew me this well, and now that I have, the world is ending."
Heartbreakingly beautiful.

What a fabulous vision, and so timely :)
A few days ago, a friend asked me to make a FB group for our friend circle planning a tea party.
I made the group and invited six people.
SIX PEOPLE. It's for a tea party, at someone's house.
... wait for it ... (AI slop post 1/ ?)
Radon Pay Rate is now 2.5 cents a word
Radon Journal's fiction pay rate is increasing to 2.5¢/word!
We are also implementing a $15 minimum for fiction to ensure micro-fiction authors are taken care of.
Cheers to the authors who refuse to remain quiet or complicit.
Loved revisiting this story!
