Boy, for all of the complaints about Kansas City as home of the Big 12 hoops tourney from a certain segment of fans, that "UofA" chant at about 4:00 to play was pretty loud.

Two bids from the A-10.
Two bids from the MAC.
Three (!!) from the WCC.

Shorter Carr to Trump:
That last 3 by Rapp included the gun firing sound effect from Double Dribble.
Brett Yormark swallowed his pride and ripped off the LED floor because he wanted the story of the Big 12 tournament to be about the teams and the games.
He was rewarded for his actions with the best one of the season on Friday night.
Here's my overnight column from Kansas City.

Great point. That's the crap shoot aspect.
It depends on where you are located for those mid-weeks, though. Pete Hughes is scheduling K-State as an anytime, anywhere type, but it's still difficult to get good mid-weeks.
When Northern Colo made their run in '10-11, they lost to Illinois & Bruce Weber by single digits. They opened '13 at K-State in Weber's second year there and won. Coaches joked that Weber probably fired whomever scheduled that game.
It made for good cover when arguing for the event to just be four teams and a round robin. It really comes down to prep & scout which is a challenge in real tourneys, especially early.
Yes, but that's how they got the quality matchups you brought up. They've done it for a while, so organizers come to them with opportunities.
They got Georgetown & BYU out of that.
Plus their Cincy matchup was a "rivalry" one.
So, there's three of the five that aren't "buy games".
What CTE's did Dayton play in? That's the first tell.
My left eye just started twitching uncontrollably.
A) I gave up on sitcoms & police procedurals years ago because of my daily schedule, so, I'm not missing anything and
B) Is this honestly any worse than any other stretch of studio output? Seriously?
