Footage is from my game SZROT, a narrative CaRPG set during the 1980s in a country that no longer exists. No Lamborghinis here, just Lada, Zastava, Polski Fiat and Trabant.

The shadows on the vehicles under the bridge is controlled by a script that turns darkens the material base color gradually, upon entry into an invisible collider.
I'm creating SZROT, the narrative CaRPG set during the 1980s in a country that no longer exists. No Lamborghinis, instead the menu says Lada, Zastava, Polski Fiat and Trabant.

After grinding full-time unpaid on my own game for months now, I have to make sure my ship doesn't sinkπ
I specialise in retro graphics, PS1 and PS2, but can do everything else. Characters, cars, env, weapons, you name it.

Didn't think about how people would interpret this. Basically, I'm just playing around with different levels of detail, haven't choosen a LOD0 tree yet. So no, there won't be 4 LOD's :)

Then the reflection map ( this one is straight from GT2) would basically be projected on top of the mesh, and the rotation would create the illusion of a reflection.
Thanks, looks great! And don't worry, me neither! Too busy making stuff π
I'd love to see your work if you have an artstation : ) Jordan Powers work definitely fit this "unhinged" description
Just talking generally. There are still props that fit this "unhinged" description. But looking at vanilla, It's difficult to find a single piece of wood that isn't severely deformed or bent, and none of it looks out of place. The absurdly thick pillars of Goldshire inn is my favourite thing.
Shapes are just a little less unhinged and softer nowadays. Vanillas proportions and shapes were almost deranged, but that's what made it so special, just my opinion though. Still very good shapes in general, but it's a little less crazy.
Hey! Thanks for your comment. Above comment was not directed at WoW art team of course haha. WoW art is still very good. And the painting in terms of technicality has improved a lot. I will however say that expression is that the silhouttes are not as expressive as they were in Vanilla.
take me back to the shores of Sen'Jin village.
This is part of my research for my game SZROT - a love letter to old school racing games and forgotten lowpoly techniques. (Trees like these are in the game)

Can we talk about how Vanilla WoW's Trees are the best low-poly trees ever? pt.2
