One of the interesting parts of still being on FB is to see your feed flooded with "heartwarming" posts with AI-or photoshopped images of Elonito Muskolini in the act of philantropy, or when he built his wealth from "nothing" and by taking "huge risks". Priceless

As a natural maximalist I struggle a bit with Bluesky's minimalist space, but here is a picture of a cat without the cat in it (she moved, obviously) that turned out pretty.

I knew I had to watch something American today but could not remember what it was and found something deeply captivating and terribly heartbreaking: American Primeval. I want to fully recommend it and beat up the scriptwright at the same time. Because you end up caring. Amazing.

She practically invented the Sandman universe.

Apparently his Sandman universe is a direct plagiarization of Tanith Lee’s older TALES FROM THE FLAT EARTH whom he never credited

So I just learned that Neil Gaiman basically plagiarized the entire Sandman universe off of Tanith Lee’s TALES FROM THE FLAT EARTH. While he got rich and famous off her ideas without ever crediting her, she has struggled to make do as a writer all this time. I suggest we promote her works now.

I feel a bit torn about it all. Like, I also want to see what happens.
I have used FB for decades and feel a bit sad about leaving something familiar and which has helped me keep in touch with the world.

I see that many are hanging in here (on FB) and many are preparing to leave because it seems to become a propaganda tool for totalitarian forces.

My FB feed has become flooded with pages I never followed and liked. I literally feel like vomiting every time I see the moronic face or hear the deplorable voice of Musk's orange puppet and find it hard to watch the news because of it.

Waking up, I was not even relieved that it had been a dream, because I have studied history.
