I mentioned to a friend that Season 5 had a stretch of basically PERFECT episodes and she agreed wholeheartedly. We went on to realize we were thinking of entirely distinct sets of episodes. Season 5 is an all-timer.

Seasons 4-7 are such an unimpeachable run of television, especially 5 and 6, and doubly especially 5.
The best TV critic writing today just called Andor the best series of 2025 and one of the top ten TV series ever made. He’s absolutely correct on both counts. If you haven’t watched Andor yet, what are you DOING?
I’d argue you don’t need to know *anything* about Star Wars to appreciate Andor. It stands entirely on its own!
You should! It’s a marvel.
The “grading on the Mad Men curve” line got me to finally watch Andor after hearing about it for the last few years and it absolutely floored me. By FAR the piece of art I’ve spent the most hours thinking about this year, in a year I watched some truly exceptional shows.
Y’all are weird (complimentary)
Nora wishes you a very Orange Friday!
Don’t worry, there is also still a grey cat.
What if I post a recurring retro deck series right here? That might be fun.
Gonna start using this site more. Have an orange cat.
Absolutely thrilled to see “Blonde” here. That movie rules so, so hard.
Seeing a fifteen-person asymmetrical breaks my HEART that you were 17th. I wanted you in the Finals again SO bad.
This is the face of someone who can’t decide how she feels about a grey cat.
I’ve had Nora for a month now and today she and Ellie finally met face-to-face.
Here they are!
I finished my first viewing of Boardwalk Empire on Thursday and it exceeded all expectations. The final season in particular is one that’s going to haunt me for quite some time. If you haven’t seen it, you must. It’s a drama for the ages.
I finished my first viewing a bit over a month ago now and that line simply knocked the wind out of me. Robin Weigert’s delivery has been rattling around my head ever since.
I don’t post here often but for those who left Twitter, big update, new cat! Her name is Nora, she’s two years old, and I love her. (She does have teeth.)
Ellie would like to argue that there’s nothing like a nice, soft couch to nap on!
Close enough. Welcome back, Trevenant XY.
I haven’t tuned in this season because the first season largely sucked but I SO look forward to your weekly pieces.
It’s Leo Fiasco now.
This show rules but also it might genuinely be too close to home for me to watch in 2025.
I’VE FELT BETTER
Jesus fucking christ
Well, shit, I’m fresh off a Deadwood watch so that just catapulted Too Old to Die Young to the top of my to-watch list.
Hold up, is that John Hawkes?
“Return of the Jedi” at number one has healed me after 25 years of ridicule.
It’s not even the point of this review, I know, but god I’m so concerned that Pedro Pascal is gonna be typecast as stoic characters forever in complete defiance of his charisma and range.
