You two are so cute.
Iβm in (redacted) for (redacted) & after picking up my Thai food, asked the hotel bar staff for a plate & some cutlery. βIβve been in a room with men opining all day.β The sheer girlhood of response was a delight: βI hear you, just ring down if you need wine.β
That would also be a great use of her talents!
Great to see Vanushi Walters as shadow minister of foreign affairs plus the spy agencies. She is a smart, talented woman who works across the aisle on things that matter.
Good G*d, Grant. Itβs chemical warfare.
After milking it as much as it could during public hearings to grow their audiences, New Zealand's leading far-right, & anti-vaxx disinfo network now vehemently dismisses Phase 2's report - most likely because it doesn't embrace, & amplify their conspiracy mongering. Entirely expected. #nzpol
. @marcdaalder.bsky.social's Newsroom report is *very* good - clear, detailed, fair, & informative. newsroom.co.nz/2026/03/10/l...
A Berlin court has ordered X to grant researchers API access under the Digital Services Act. Daniela Alvarado RincΓ³n, Simone Ruf and JΓΌrgen Bering explain how they won the case, and why itβs a major step for researcher data access.
Iβve seen a bunch of folks talking about 2020 vibes: today I made gemista for dinner. A complex multi stage meal I last made (checks recipe notes) about this time six years ago.
What egregious bs. His whole epistemic authority grounded in a literal road to Damascus moment when he was 14? One of the many in the field who sadly take weird comfort in being atheist but also puritanical.
harry styles did an hour with zane lowe and told us nothing. the heated rivalry boys seem unhinged and are telling us nothing. margot and jacob are obsessed with each other and telling us nothing.
the illusion of access is not an accident. it is the product.

This happened. The print interview was edited in ways that feel very jumpy, but I got to say some things. Like: Maybe changing the world is more like caregiving than it is like war. Too many people still expect it to look like war. [and then there's a crazy jump-cut w/out transition.]
Iβm on team make the bed too, I like to be able to wash & remake at my leisure.

There is a very very obvious answer to this question.
These are my bourgeois complaints. Who has a plan for those far far worse off than me?
Health insurance up, electricity up, gas up, petrol prices hiking, a loaf of decent bread approx $4.75, eggs over $12 a dozen. Lamb legs havenβt been under $17.99 a kg for three years. A block of good cheese is $17 on SALE. Veges in season are still high: peppers π« $2.79, corn π½ 3 cobs for $5
The worst thing about todayβs AI workshop is that instagram is now convinced Iβm a big fan.
OFFS. When Iran tried to interefere in 2020, researchers caught them and called them out. Then the Benz-Weiss-Taibbi-Musk-Jordan-Trump axis labeled those researchers "censors" ... and set about defunding them and dismantling their organizations.
Cleaned, gardened, cooked. Why yes, these are my coping strategies. Thinking of all the Iranians in Aotearoa, and those in Iran experiencing further violence on top of a violent regime thatβs been killing people in the streets for months. Condemning outright US & Israeli aggression.
Note for locals: if you are anywhere near Auckland Uni this coming week there will be ten thousand teenagers on your bus or crossing major roads at unpredictable locations. Individually they are wonderful people and the future of the country, but collectively they can be a lot.
We are deeply concerned by the situation in Iran. Our first thoughts are with the people caught up in this conflict - in Iran, in the countries in the wider region, and the New Zealand families worried about loved ones. We recognise the courage of Iranians who have taken to the streets demanding change, at enormous personal risk and we condemn the serious human rights violations that have been perpetrated against them. Military escalation does not produce the stability the region needs. The attacks on Iran and the retaliatory strikes undermine international peace and security and put civilian lives at risk. New Zealand must urge all parties - including close allies - to show restraint, pursue diplomatic solutions and first and foremost, protect the rights and safety of Iranian civilians. New Zealand must use its voice on the world stage to call for de-escalation, for a return to negotiations, and for the right of the Iranian people to determine their own future.
Thatβs a proper Labour/Labor party statement from Chris Hipkins, leader of New Zealand Labour.
Speaks to values, values of peace, international law, and the values of the people of Aotearoa.
Aotearoa New Zealand is a country with a big heart, this is how Iβm used to that place responding.
