Thank you, Alex. I guess it’s not too dissimilar to Starmer appointing his cabinet after winning the GE. In some cases also appointing unelected individuals to support e.g. James Timpson/Elon Musk. Depending on your political persuasion you’d suggest that a PM looks to appoint the best for the job.
Hi Alex, I’m trying to get to grips with how nominations/picks work. It doesn’t seem too dissimilar to American sport from an uninformed spectator like myself. Is there anything that explains the process that enables the likes of RFK Jr to be part of the US govt machine?
How does it all work then? RFK Jr is ‘nominated’ for the role (as are others) by Trump. Is it like US sports and it’s basically a roster? Or do they have to be voted on. My head hurts.. probably my woke mind virus!
