Woeful lack of imagination & dynamism in attack. Utterly predictable & easy to defend against at this level.

Credit to Scotland but playing like this Eng wouldn't even compete with SA, NZ or France. They'd be lucky compete wth Ireland, Aus & Pumas. & when you're 11 points down in the 52nd min why go for a drop goal? Drop goals are for adding to a lead or to win a close game in the dying seconds

Some of these were great & all are worth a listen. Seeing this brought back memories. There was a related series called Another Late Night too. I think the Groove Armada curated Back to Mine & Another Late Night got the most plays

I'm about to deliver a talk to @durhamimh.bsky.social about how I combined features of deliberative democracy with the Consensus Workshop Method to pioneer a flipped, facilitation-led deliberative fora model in my QMiP2 module a MMU.

A great write up on the life and liveliness of the β€œManchester” EM Reading Group. As Phil says, it’s rare to find space to really talk and think in modern academia.

I don’t get to go as often as I’d like, but like any favourite place that one has, knowing it’s there makes things a little better.

This is a great thread, which encouraged me to go back to Conversation and Cognition this morning. I then proposed that we work through it, chapter by chapter, in the reading group I facilitate, & add Potter's follow-up paper from 2006, in which he responds to Drew.
So thanks!
