This is the same exact process for starting any school club or activity. Chess club, Robotics club, you name it.
If a group of students want to start a club, they find a willing teacher sponsor and they can start one. Parent permission is generally required.
The OK Supreme Court has paused the new social studies standards.
Schools will stick w 2019 standards, as a lawsuit argues the new rules push religion into classrooms & sidestep the law.

Yesterday, a man was killed, a father to little ones lost. My own family has known that very same heartache, and I grieve for them.
Yesterday, children at school were targeted by a gunman, and mothers began worrying at hospital bedsides.
