#9 Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse

Incredible work from xeen on the sequel. Different in tone but still fantastically well crafted. The fourth wall never stood a chance.

Given I haven’t played the third AI (and honestly thought the second one was a bit of a miss) I would encourage you toward mermaids curse!

I’m not any kind of expert on visual novels so I don’t know if this is more common than I think, but Paranormasight does such a great line in creating dynamic shots that help sell the mood. Plus that art is wonderful.

Finished Paranormsight: The Mermaid’s Curse this morning, and it blew me away. It’s surprisingly different to the original but still delivers an excellent paranormal mystery. Absolutely surprised me with its genius fourth wall breaks. I laughed out loud at one of them.

Honestly I kinda love shit like this. I think it’s cool when there’s these esoteric stats that games track but hide from you. Gives a sense of mystery.

I read the first three Dark Tower books across a few months about a decade ago now and then Wizard and Glass just stopped me dead with its dramatic change of pace and focus. But I’m prepared this time, it’ll be fine.

Legit quite funny that Ubisoft announced a bunch of new AC games years ago and yet somehow a remake of the pirate one gets revealed before all of them.
