I often linger in the shadows when it comes down to the artists that inspire me. I obsess over their work silently while rarely interacting, studying every detail...this is going to get me nowhere. I need to be vocal about how I feel. Why does this sound like a confession?

Sketch work! Contrasting colors make eye-catching designs. I think I should actually redraw one of these...which one would you actually like see fully rendered?

I'm learning to stop caring about perfection when I was meant to express myself through art without sticking to rules all the time. This is some sketch work I created some time ago. I had fun just messing around and experimenting. It's refreshing.

The world is too serious right now. We need the cringe more than ever.

Drawing with crayons is a lot more fun than you think. During my time in the hospital I got to be very creative despite limited resources. Now I feel like it holds such significance to how I see art.

As an artist, the ways I was able to improve was to simply observe the things around me. Of course studying/practice comes later, but observing alone has helped me tremendously. Using yourself as a reference too is also super helpful if you struggle with specific poses, or just anatomy things.

Hope is somewhere nearby.
