Harmonised datasets focusing on climate change, digitalisation, equality, health and resilience are now available.
They include #data from five social #surveys that have been harmonised to make them as comparable as possible, even if the question text and response scales differed.

I am not familiar with the literature on the Volkskörper idea, but I would guess it's simply because they are in awe of their higher level organism. For those who are susceptible it is an elevation and not a reduction of status/meaning, especially in the presence of outgroups.
