No. Might does not make right.
No. Might does not make right.
if you don't find anyone else, it's also ok to do talks that are "Here is what bothered me, here is how I approached it, here are my results. Maybe it can inspire you for the thing you care about."
It's ok to not have grand truth and big lessons. What matters is too inspire others.
Agreed it is great. It was also very targeted to a topic that can be leveraged. I think you will need to find other similar examples of people who approached their own topic the same way and also got similar results.
I'd like to announce I have a new(ish) Podcast! It's called GameDev Unsung Heroes, and it's basically interviewing all the names in games you don't know about what they do, their career path, a few stories along the way. All free.
Here's the link gamedevunsungheroes.com
I could use re-posting :)
My Lawyer kept misreading this contract because he couldn't believe how good it was.
I had to tell him, yes, truly 15/85 in our favor.
Industry is bleak rn but Outersloth is a ray of light!
They can still make games. They dont need to be in the industry.
It is 100m lifetime. It is a lot. It is not absurd. It is a round number.
If you don't know who Marjane Strapi is, have a look at Persepolis. Amazing movie that was probably my first real connection with Iran at that time.
I am kind of disappointed... I think understanding editorial line management is way more complex than it looks, and their decision may be understandable, but it is hard right now as it lacks context, details and nuances. But it is Inside Out's director who is talking. Communication mistake hopefully
Pretty sure it's illegal in Europe... if it's not, it will be.
Absolutely love Marathon, but I suspect it'll be something niche like Hunt Showdown. It's punishing, complex, shoot first and ask questions later. It's just not a kind enough world or experience to reach critical mass.
Would it be like some A/B testing or is there a reason behind the different versions?
When the debug features become official.
From what i understand Crimson Desert, that should be possible because regions arent gated. I saw many people playing the way you say in MMO. They would do many side quests, farm, progress on crafts and other secondary progression system and role play as a citizen of this world who is no hero.
In just two months, Zohran Mamdani has:
-Launched the first stage of his universal childcare program
-Rolled Trump into releasing a detained Columbia student
-Used fair wages to get New Yorkers to clear streets and sidewalks during a blizzard
FYI: This is what leadership looks like.
If anyone else is willing to share Steam Next Fest numbers, please reply to this post.
Let's normalize sharing reality and not "fake it til you make it" culture.
Hello @digiphile-team.bsky.social ! Great offers! Got some nice things. Though, I'd recommend to check but I think it's not legal in Europe to not show price with TVA until the checkout! You may want to change that before someone mean asks! Cheers.
Hopefully Nixxes is OK.
Netflix boss says the Paramount acquisition of Warner Bros could result in around $16B cost cutting over 18 months.
"There’ll be cuts in excess of $16 billion. They are telling people who lend them the money that’s going to happen in 18 months or so."

He has been messaging clear disapprovement from the beginning. There is a very early video where he just say some facts of what going on but his body language clearly show his opinion.
I am glad he said that. I would have liked more European governments to take this stance. I think he could have even gone further.
In most companies, greenlights happen before VS because they still represent a fair share of the full budget.
I wish as much as anyone else to shit on the US gov, but we can't directly link your reading of the situation with what is reported. There is no proof there was an intention to protect themselves behind civilians. It may just be a logistic constraint.
Tokyo train features a striking PlayStation ad.

Hasnt there been a change of leadership and some high profiles departures a couple of years ago?
Sending to yourself instead of slackbot keeps things separated and tidy. You get slackbot stuff in slackbot chat and you get your own things/reminders/etc in your own chat. It also protects you from them changing how slackbot chat works and you may lose the stuff you put there.
To understand what's happening in Iran today, you have to know about the history of Western intervention in the country.
In the early 1900s, the British secured oil rights in the country until 1993, where they only agreed to pay Iran 16% of the total profits.
This was seen as an unfair deal. 🧵
Someone shared this with me about the situation in Iran. I subscribed half way through the video. Such a great piece of journalism, I thought I should re-share it. We need more balanced voices like this one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0uj...
Graphics quality will make things a bit more expensive but only marginally longer because it is the part of production that can be heavily parallelized without creating much difficulties.
The feature set scope increasing all the time is one of the big factors of longer production time. In terms of content, something that could make production time longer is the amount of worlds and quests and enemies, etc... but rarely their level of fidelity.
