"Harmony Korine avoids books" = Definitely in the top 5 of least surprising things I could read about Harmony Korine.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.
Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. π§΅
βTell your children who the cowards were.β
A large heavily muscled figure with tiny lil combat boots in all warm gray and black paramilitary gear with a skull like mask and a ballistic vest with spray painted crossed bones on it. The entire outfit is festooned with pouches of various sizes and types. The figure is also carrying a large unrealistic pistol and a smoking fantastically inaccurate shotgun.
A smiling orange one-eyed heavily muscled alien figure in a white gray and red uniform throwing a Shaka and floating in a purple space in front of a swirling spiral morass.
I donβt do a ton of drawing based on comics these days, but the #Pouchtober list is ALWAYS a guaranteed blast to take a crack at! Iβm behind obviously(you know, because LIFE), but couldnβt pass up the opportunity to do an Allen the Alien and a Crossbones.
Classic twofer: Both a show poster for the incomparable Devon Kay and the Solutions / Tiny Stills / Suzie True, but ALSO a submission for the Drawtober prompt: Toad Astrologer. Knocking down two illustration birds with one stone.
I'm doing this year's Drawtober challenge again, but with a lil Sword and Sorcery bend to the challenge.
Here's the first installment: Candlelit Messenger.
I genuinely think that you improved upon the original! Thatβs a great piece of work!
Holy smokes: thatβs INCREDIBLE!!!
I don't wanna be hyperbolic, but having been to innumerable punk shows over the years, Disfear playing a pizza place in West Philadelphia in the early 00's was an absolutely life changing, top-tier level of energy and ferocity. Gutted to see today's news.
As someone who grew up in and around Philly, I once heard folks from here described as 'Your nice friend from the midwest, who also knows how to fight and will, at the drop of a hat.' And nothing I've ever seen has seemed more accurate.
May we all find an outlet that brings us the amount of joy that James Acaster found when losing his GD mind at some of the decisions in that series.
Truly a wonder to behold.
New lil promo image for Live Free Fest scheduled for this September in New Boston, NH. Design prompt was to make βtype that feels like a summer campβ. Hope I hit that mark;)
An eerily green cartoon illustration of a zombie skater, doing a melon grab off a toppled grave in the foreground. Surrounding it are a slew of classic universal monsters, dressed in various punk garb. There is garish hand done type at the top that reads Teenage Bottlerocket, and various flags also adorned with type for the supporting bands Broadway Calls and We Were Sharks.
New ripper for the fine folks in Teenage Bottlerocket, for their upcoming Canadian tour! This ones got it all: Timbits references, classic monsters as punks, a zombie doing a melon grab...you get it.
Uhhβ¦any resemblance to Burglars: living, dead or burger themed, is purely coincidental? Does that cover it?
A mostly red and yellow image featuring a series of dark silhouettes of workers, with hearts, standing in front of a giant fist raising up from them and the ground, in front of crumbling factories that are spewing smoke filled with ghosts. Behind this is hand drawn, bold type reading There Is Power in a Union.
A quick one for the First of May.
Oh fuck yeah.
Right there with you, bud.
Aim to please.
Thoughts and prayers.
A pair of praying hands, done in a traditional tattoo style, with single nautical star, a Pittsburgh Steelers Superbowl ring, and a banner below it detailing one of the most accidentally complimentary one-star reviews written about the podcast Werewolf Ambulance.
I know you didn't SPECIFICALLY call me out on this one, @werewolfambulance.bsky.social ,but here we are.
Can't even see the words 'Bob by NOFX' without going "Bibby-da-ba-do-be-Bob" quietly, to myself.
Trying to determine how weird it is for me to:
A.) Not only buy my own design from Teepubs, again, butd....
B.) How inappropriate it is for me to drink from an 'Irreparably Horny...' mug at my day job, at a university?
I was super late to the party on finally listening to the Hated, and, once I did felt like I had missed out on something that would have been a keystone of my musical taste. The speed with which I snapped this up was staggering :)
Numero Group doesn't seem to miss.
Heck yes.
The temptation to draw a βGlennzigβ shirt is strong with me post this episode.
Congrats on 500 you lunatics!!!
This is SUCH a cool idea for an assignment! Working in the vis arts program at a university, I sometimes see the disconnect with students wanting to do OC's and how to apply them in real world situations...this absolutely bridges that gap!
(Also: the background illustration is killer, obviously:)
A reinterpretation of a classic Black Flag record cover, this black and tan image features a crouching werewolf boy in the corner of a desicrated room, with a bucket full of some dark liquid, and a severed arm sitting several feet away.
This image is a reinterpretation of the Circle Jerks classic 'Skanking Guy' logo. Atop a bright yellow background, a cartoony, detailed witch with mushroom covered hat, chicken legs, and torn clothing is skanking, with her various swamp accoutrements waving behind her.
A reimagining of the cover of the Dead Boys record 'Young, Loud, and Snotty', this cartoony interpretation features a foursome of rotting zombies leaning against a green brick wall in a filthy alley.
A reimagining of Rancid's 'Let's Go' album cover, this image features a cartoonish ghost floating atop a bright red, distressed background, with a banner below it saying 'Let's Ghost'. In the bottom left corner is a ripped, yellowed, old road map, featuring a map of New Jersey.
Four of the six Drawtober images I put together this year!
Based on some of my favorite punk records / logos, but also: monsters. Just because.
Im challenging the baker in our family to make this today.
18 x 24 poster, done as part of a set, for NOFX's final shows featuring hundreds of unique, weird, colorful, cartoony punk characters at a punk show, done in the style of a Where's Waldo book.
Well, if you're gonna do a first actual post, why not make it one of the wilder things you've ever drawn?
From this last weekend: here's the first in a set of 3 interconnected posters done for NOFX's final shows, inspired by ye olde Where's Waldo.
My hands were tired by the end of these.
