It’s called a swallowtail flag, the horizontal red and white stripes represent the rivers and roads of Ohio, the seventeen stars represent the original thirteen states plus the four states added immediately afterward, including Ohio, etc. & etc. On our way north, my grandson and I spent the night in a cave in northeastern Ohio. The Devil’s Icebox the cave used to be called. I explored it as a kid and here I was again. The cave isn’t so chilly now. I made sure there were no reavers inside before we set up camp.
