UCD School of Archaeology PhD/MLitt Research Day kicks off, an exciting range of topics being explored by our researchers
Can the archaeological collective help? These are finds from our recent excavation at Glendalough. All from cultivated soils with lots of C19-20 material. Triangular(ish) sections, varied widths. They are very clearly a 'thing' but we don't know what. Any suggestions/parallels appreciated.
From left: PhD student Marc Morris; M Litt student Keelin Murphy; BA graduate Roisin O Droma (currently working as an archaeobotanist at IAC); Assoc. Prof. Meriel McClatchie; MSc graduate Aoife Soo (currently working as an archaeobotanist at ACSU).
UCD archaeobotanists past and present are at the IWGP conference in Groningen, Netherlands this week. This is the largest gathering of archaeobotanists in the world, providing an excellent opportunity for the Irish team to share their research findings on the global stage
