Original print run ran out, so I had to wait for the second. Arrived today and sitting at the very top of my to be read pile.

Well that's January finished. Atr the last mince pies for a late afternoon tea. Till next year.
I'm thinking insulation is the option you need to pursue. Anything you can do to stop the heat getting into the house. Covering windows from the outside / putting something like bubble wrap on the windows on the inside.
Happy to support that.
Done and looking yum.
In the oven now. Ready in 20 minutes. π
That reminds me, I promised the family muffins. Better get cracking.
Yesterday. Turns out I look older than 16.

Timely advice. π
Damn fine idea. π₯
Thanks for this. As authors were withdrawing, I did a bit of shopping in support. Good to have a list of first time authors, because they are in extra need of support.
A list of 21 debut authors who almost appeared at a writersβ festival.
Imagine you were about to appear at a writers' festival to talk about your first book... then the whole thing fell apart.
I wanted to find debut authors who almost talked at Adelaide Writers' Week. These are 21 folks I've identified so far but *please* let me know who I've missed or mixed up.
That is a brilliant idea!

They are angry because their politicisation of a tragedy was called out. They need to cop it on the chin.
PSA: @readingsbooks.bsky.social is offering a 10% discount for recent books of authors who have chosen to withdraw from the 2026 Adelaide Writers' Week:

It's been clearer in Melbourne today, but I think that's more about wind direction than the amount of smoke around Victoria.
Concerned you are having to deal with this and as others have suggested it is worth considering formal action. In the meantime I hope it helps to know that you have an enormous amount of support. #IStandWithCathyWilcox

Take care. Its only 26 in bayside Melbourne at the moment, but it's going to climb sky high as the day wears on.
On my too be bought list. That what we do when people ban or try to ban books right!
Me too! Hoping we get the benefit of a bayside breeze in Edithvale, but definitely inside with the air-con till then.
Thanking you for your thoughtful cartoons throughout 2025 and wishing you all the best for the festive season.
From my house to yours Ronnie, all the very best of the festive season. ππ
Merry Christmas Ian, from my house to yours. πππ€Ά
I'm in. Mind I've been out for lunch so not hard to convince me. π₯

Hi @bsky.app
If you want this to be a global platform, how about trending topics reflecting the other 96% of the world's population?
The domination of this site by American news and American topics is one of its greatest drawbacks
Hell, even old Elon manages to get this right
Me wearing sandals in Melbourne for the first time this Spring. Apologies if the weather suddenly takes a turn for the worse.
