I like to tell my cat “awww, he’s full of love!” when he gives me boops and leg rubs, but it always eventually leads to him informing me that he may be full of love, but he is not full of food.
As a midwesterner, I feel a similar way about the ocean.

Tfw you walk by some middle school students after voting and go “🤘civic duty🤘” and they say “hell yea.” I might be a cool adult today.

When I reached out to Joe Loder in January, I didn’t know where this story would go. My thoughts were more like: “Fight Camp, huh? Sounds neat!”
Then I met the people, who were welcoming, passionate and authentic. And knew the story was more than “swords are cool.” (Though that’s still very true.)

My cat has an uncanny knowledge of when I’m on a deadline and frequently chooses those exact times to run around screaming and opening all the cabinet doors.
Earlier this week, I got to meet two candidates for the local school board, three city council members running for reelection and a candidate gathering signatures for her petition to run for the airport board. And I’m so excited to support them.
In some good news, I started a part-time job at a bookshop this week. Already met a couple regulars, and each one of them is delightful. 📚

My cat begs loudly and relentlessly for a bite of whatever I’m eating. Because it *might* be tuna.
So I’ve presented to him
A gloop of sriracha
A banana
Kimchi
Lettuce
And he always looks so offended after getting a whiff, like he didn’t already know it wasn’t his favorite fishy.

Tfw you go to a business networking event and realize you forgot your new business cards. The business cards that you got super excited about because they’re a little silly but also actually have updated information.
So you hand out old business cards that look like sadness.
