I've started watching the Japanese remake of #marrymyhusband and I'm really enjoying it, this is how remakes should be done, the beats are the same but it still feels fresh. It's its own thing without losing what made the original so good

RE the Hidden Love mini drama remake- the production company has apologized for producing it without the rights to do so, they will be taking down the drama permanently from July 3rd

There is absolutely this as well. There's been a few I've really enjoyed and then they completely fumble the later half

I wish I could easily rewatch, but it just doesn't work for me - if I'm rewatching the probable reason is that I'm going to be reviewing it for the podcast 😆

Yes I think we all go through this. When we first start watching everything is new and exciting, but we learn what we like and what we don't, and that backlog becomes less.
There's been a few I've also really enjoyed it. But it's definitely been one of my much slower years

I also tend to know what I like in my dramas, and have had a few I really enjoyed this year. But if I was to compare it to say last year it was definitely a weaker year in terms of quality for me personally

Absolutely agree. I just don't have the time for mediocre.
I'm definitely much more choosier and I'll easily drop anything that isn't capturing my attention

I was looking at my #cdramas and #kdramas for 2024 (to start planning my end of year episode) & I my list is looking much slimmer this year - whether because life was lifing or because quality this year was hard to find, I'm still pondering. I'm leaning towards the second option. How about you guys?

I really enjoyed it overall - the last 15 minutes felt like almost an epilogue of a book - their endings aren't always tragic, or even bad, some stories suit that sort of ending. Others don't. With this one I wasn't that mad about it - especially because there's a 10 minute bonus episode as well

I think Youku is working on a TV app, they listened and now have got a working web browser (which is what I tend to use with my laptop linked to my TV) so I don't think it'll be much longer before they launch one for TV or firestick or something like that
