Lovely coffee shop in Formby this morning
Lovely coffee shop in Formby this morning
Nice to see a player signing a contract without the usual shit show created by his agent and advisors
I've got every tv package available to watch football, but haven't watched one game this week including Liverpool. Still love going to Anfield and the odd away game, but I can't be arsed watching the shite we see on tv, the commentators, the pundits, the presenters, VAR and the shit football
Beautiful ride to work
Of all the social media I use I find ad free Instagram the best, X best for football, especially Liverpool content, Threads linked to Instagram best for interaction and here pleasant but ultimately disappointing, even though I post most here
Others may disagree, however I find it much easier to control what I see on X than on here. I'm not talking about the follow feeds, more the For You/Discover ones that I find interesting. I see very little shit on X, if I don't go into replies, but the ads are awful and I hate Elon ๐คฃ
Modern football is shit, I love following the reds, but I don't enjoy most of the actual games and rarely watch other fixtures that don't involve us
I've had a few chats around politics in the last few days, all pretty depressing and all so obviously dependent on the other persons media of choice, very little free thinking or indeed rational thinking
A decent win, a good day at Anfield and loads of goals, just enjoy
He's a man too arrogant to step away and do what's best for his party. He's probably never failed at anything in his career and refuses to see his obvious weaknesses as a politician
He's an awful politician and has created a party that can't win a GE in it's current form under his leadership, sadly he only cares about himself and has surrounded himself with sycophants
Made up with the result in Gorton, let's hope it's a wake up call for the centre, centre/left though, as I'm not sure splitting their vote is sustainable in a GE
Spring ๐
Earlier today in Manchester
I'll take 3 pts however we get them, but that was particularly pleasing against those scabs
It's a crazy world when a decent coffee in a hotel is considerably cheaper than the average ones you get in a chain like Costa
Love the design
Had a lovely night meeting the parents of my lads girlfriend in Manchester, I'd highly recommend the Leven Hotel, just off Canal Street, the brick building to the right of the photo, loved the rooms
You've worked for the BBC so I'm sure you must understand how these outlets work and who guides editorial policy, most of us don't, but would be fascinated to hear how it works
An amazing goalscorer
Very wet journey home, on train into town now for a few drinks with work, then a weekend in Manchester with son, his girlfriend and her family
Last stop on our little trip, Fountains Abbey
As with everyone in the establishment they treat us with absolute contempt, sadly the flag shagging little Englanders aren't bothered
Arsenal will probably win the league, City have a chance, but it's still in Arteta's hands sadly. A titles a title, just like ours was last year, however those years when Klopp and Pep were going at it getting 95 plus pts a season were something special
Alnwick today, enjoyed the gardens and big kids play area
Northumberland coast
Lots of chat about the *last* English royal to be arrested, but who was the first? The Anglo-Saxons typically bumped off their rivals, so I'll start the bidding with Odo, bishop of Bayeux, arrested and imprisoned by his half-brother, William the Conqueror, in 1082.
I see so many people on social media moaning about technology, it's so annoying, nobody forces you to use it, but as someone who grew up in the 1970's and 1980's before we had any, it was fucking shit
Debates about players from other eras really are pointless, just enjoy the great players we've enjoyed, who was best is purely subjective and usually driven by club/country bias
Nothing against Newcastle but Qarabag were a bit shit when we played them ๐คฃ
