I just can’t enough of Kelly, Chambers, and Cobb. I’ve found so many great albums because they were the rhythm section.

The whole album never gets old. A rare work that seems futuristic and ancient simultaneously.

The horn stab at 1:28 has been my ringtone for 20 years. Still startles me half the time.

Listening rn to the 4 disc set of Miles Stockholm 1960 Complete. I know it’s not a popular op, but I think Stitt holds up. Lyrical perfection. Feel Miles ups his energy because he doesn’t have Coltrane to bring that edge. Not arguing. Just sharing some love for Sonny Stitt w/ Miles in Stockholm. ✌️

Such a great album. Has my all time favorite version of Caravan. Boils it down to its bare essence then makes it 100% Monk. Incredible.
