It’s a little amazing what knowledge lurks in your brain. I haven’t had a “formal” lunch or dinner in years, but I guess the etiquette drilled into me during my sorority years stuck because I’ve been using it during the formal meals at this conference.
I’m traveling for a conference. It is in the same town as the hospital my mom spent a couple weeks in before she entered hospice at home 4 years ago this week. My body is letting me know it remembers the stress & heartache of the last time I was here. My brain is telling me I’m fine. My body isn’t.
Cheesy eggs on toast is my too tired/sick to do anything else meal.
I planned to share my report on the body cam footage early next week when I learned that a DC news station had obtained some of the footage as a result of my lawsuit and they were going to scoop me. After working on this for a year, I couldn't let that happen. Published 2 mins before they aired :)

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I ended up sitting on the floor beside my son’s crib at 1:30 this morning waiting for him to fall back asleep. Attempting to return to my own room after was made exponentially difficult given the groans that wanted to escape my mouth.

Not as dumb, but she used to wake me up by pouncing on my shoulder. She stopped when I accidentally shoved her off the bed in protest.
Suzy tries to “trick” me into believing she has gone out to the yard to pee, but doesn’t understand how time works so instead clears the door for 0.3 seconds and then comes back expecting to be let in and praised for having gone in the yard rather than on the carpet.

My sister once said she wants to be cremated unless there is any chance it was homicide then we are supposed to bury her in case she needs to be exhumed later to prove how she was murdered.
