What she said. Didn't think I had the staying power for a long read about the royal family, but this is MENTAL
Dear Russia,
Iran's fire is making oil prices spike.
Spiking oil prices makes economic problems for us, so we're making it easier for you to sell more oil.
In sum, Iranian military success against us reduces economic pressure on you.
Just, you know, FYI.
Sincerely,
The geniuses leading America
MacBook Neo looks really good. It's a lot like the MacBook Air but with enough compromises (chips, ports) to get it down to $599.
$599 is a staggering price for a new Mac. There's never been a NEW model Mac laptop for that price. The cheapest new Mac model ever sold was the $499 Mac mini
1. A short thread on a Bluesky phenomenon that might be described as "They are a dead-eyed cultist who must be cast out lest the heresy take root!" OP has blocked me for mocking them - I'd usually obscure their name but since they themselves were quote-dunking to demand someone else be blocked ...
It would be a better line if the Greensβ βcommitmentβ to renewable energy didnβt involve campaigning against wind farms and electricity pylons.
Farage opposes better workers rights, Braverman wants to dismantle workplace equality, Reform want a lower minimum wage, and your guy writes this? Farage has 9 jobs, never bothers with constituents, is rich enough to argue about whether he banks at Coutts, and he represents the working class? π€‘
One disgusting aspect of all this is Trump fundamentally doesnβt care about it at all. He barely knows where any of these places are. He likes cash in brown envelopes and being on TV as Mr Big Important Guy. Heβs just willing to pull any lever he thinks might keep that stuff flowing indefinitely.
If you are interesting why these strikes happened right after we received news that the US-Iran talks went reasonably well though without breakthrough, Lord Ricketts has an excellent explainer.
A party that is resolutely anti-bourgeois while being staffed and supported by the bourgeoisie is an intriguing and inevitably impossible strategy.
Anyway good luck attracting those Reform voters who hate you.
The letter reads like Starmer is personally affronted that people who didnβt want a Reform MP chose the party least like Reform rather than the one that has spent two years morphing into them.
The new Green MP seems very likeable and I am all for more people from normal backgrounds becoming MPs.
But⦠her party has bad policy ideas premised on a destructive ideology.
Grifters have worked out that "I'm just a fearless truth-teller willing to propose the necessary but politically incorrect solution," is a magic formula whereby if you're offensive enough the conversation focuses on whether you should have said it, and misses how your ideas are dumb as hell.
just quite maddening that Osborne's legacy is currently "hey that guy who helped the Tories get back into power then was chancellor for a while until Brexit, and now he has 300 jobs lol" and not "look, everything the light touches was fucked up by George Osborne in some way between 2010 and 2016"
Start your Tuesday cheerful with this evidence of the life-changing work of @londoncentric.media. Incredible stuff.
Every day we get an example of Freddie DeBoerβs point that people are supportive of people suffering from mental illness right up to the point that it becomes awkward or unpleasant for them
Iβm so sorry, Moose. Much love to you and your family.

Big problem with the BBC is its sheer credulity and lack of intellectual curiosity about stuff. It feels like it has lost the will to interrogate (with rare exceptions)

I think there are some pretty legitimate questions for the Greens to answer in this short thread β entirely possible they didn't know the history here, but if so they should say that and distance themselves.
Ouch
[Football]
The best football outcome is for Villa to win it. Arsenal are, sorry, a throwback to the football I remember watching in the early 90s. They have some great players, but they're boring.
"Stick it in the mixer for the Big Lads" is not progress.
Today in "Labour is right wing" news, the majority of the Trade Union Act 2016 has been repealed by the Employment Rights Act 2025.
Balloting for industrial action is simplified, picketing restrictions are removed, protections against dismissal are reinstated, political funds are unrestricted.
Musk on Twitter 2/17/2026: You can just take a picture of your medical data or upload the file to get a second opinion from Grok
Elon posted this yesterday. Just for fun I did it with my before/after cancer PET scans that I had already posted online. In the "before" scan Grok missed the massive tumor lighting up my liver, and in both scans it flagged a non-existent "area of concern" in my chest. Other than that, works great!
βInventiviseβ people to have more children then ensure hundreds of thousands of them end up in poverty. Great work, guys.
You have no idea what I do or do not understand and the fact that you presume you do on the basis of a single tweet is enough for me not to want to engage with you any further. Goodbye.
Yet again?
This is as true in the UK as in the US. Itβs easier to give a party who has let you down a bloody nose by voting for Reform or the Greens than it is to engage and try to change things (which is hard!). But the end result is a government that is many times worse.
