Tonight, between Booker and the Florida results, is a night to remember that the unraveling of American democracy is not inevitable. Trumpismβs vision for the future is not inevitable. We have a voiceβand a vote too.
Finishing up a couple of things my show at Creative Arts Guild opening April 11th.
This is a piece of fabric treated with cyanotype chemicals then "printed" with leaves using the sun to expose. The light blue matches the sky today.
I just need to finish the back.

This was always the risk with Gabbard and Patel at the head of our intelligence gathering.
We not only will lose our own sources who wonβt trust them, but we will lose intelligence from our close allies.
This makes a terrorist attack on US soil much more likely.
Bernie Sanders is holding MASSIVE rallies in packed venues, bigger crowds than Trump was getting, and legacy media is practically silent. Bernie is talking to workers rather than hanging out with socialites with mediocre plastic surgery at Mar-a-Lago, and it's just not interesting to corporate media
Be loud until he throws another toddler fit.
This is fascism.
I'm recycling some old swatches from a cyanotype workshop. The blue is too beautiful to waste. Could use some ironing and a lint roller before adding some fiber sculpture.
I'm going to make art but I'm not sticking my head in the sand!
Washington, D.C. yesterday. "Shut down the Senate, Shut down the Senate." Chanted for hours.
More massive #USprotests, ongoing. Sources here report, "Millions of people are getting ready as we speak to take this country back and save the USA. Their days are numbered. Stay tuned." #3E
Thank you!!! Soon!

Colorful weavings made of yarn and fabric
This big beast just came off the loom tonight. It's a gift for The Chattery and heavy AF π
I had a great escape today to the first Scenic Stitches fiber festival. I felted a capybara with The Knot and Needle out of Redbank and then bought some happy colors.
Over under- over under-over under. One string becomes many, becomes stronger. I hope you take time today to rest and to be calm. #fiberart #weaving
Oh don't I know it. I live in TN π€¦πΌββοΈ
Best comment!
He's really looking like an Oompa Loompa lately
Thank you, Iβll have plenty! I used to crochet a long time ago and just started knitting a few weeks ago.
Itβs been a great way to stop doomscrolling and reflect π
Iβve finished a Sophie scarf and have started a sweater. (Iβm waiting for more purple yarn & am casting on a new cardigan as I wait π«£)
Resistance looks like carrying on. I've had zero interest in posting to any social media. Seeing the art of others lightened my spirit and so did sitting down at my loom for a few minutes. #weaving #art #fiberart

Sick and sad days look like this.
One of the driving principles of the second Trump administration is affirmative action for mediocre white men
I did not miss Facebook a bit and realized how toxic it was to me within 2 posts. That's when the barrage of ads and people I don't know started. I've left it on my laptop since I know I'll have to make a real effort to check it.
I'm torn about Instagram. I truly love it for art purposes.
if they want to go back to the 1950s, weβre bringing the cuisine back to the 1950s too. you put me in the kitchen, I will spend 100% of my time in there finding how much horseradish and shrimp I can put in Jello before God personally comes down here to stop me.
