North Texas wins in OT youtu.be/Q97zbRuEkmM?...
Literally mentioned in the Texas Law class you have to take after passing the bar. It’s very serious business.
From #threadnaught to the other side of the bar. I passed the Texas bar after being inspired to join the legal field by the tireless efforts in pursuit of justice @gregdoucette.bsky.social, @kathryntewson.bsky.social, @akivamcohen.bsky.social, and many others. Thank you to all I’ve learned from
As someone whose first football memory involves being upset at a play involving Leon Lett and Don Beebe, I should have realized this sooner.
Hey doc it’s only a scratch
Somebody’s “How I came to Jesus” story starts with getting shot at a Red Roof Inn
If surviving being shot at red roof inn ain’t “rock bottom”…
So my 2025 started with a literal dumpster fire at my apartment. (Don’t play with fireworks in the middle of an apartment complex, kids)
These writers really need to learn about subtext, but that’s pretty good “show, don’t tell.”
What do you think propaganda is, if not vibes? Take a breath, get control of your feelings, and realize that your parting message means you’ve been arguing against someone who agrees with you.
Is this a game to you?
Ok I’ll lie to you:
You are obviously using logic and certainly not having big emotions that are causing you to irrationally disagree with someone who believes the republicans are going to destroy democracy and the rule of law.
Yes. Republicans are more likely to lie in their political ads. And it works. Not saying it’s right. I’m saying lies create vibes and vibes win elections.
My post pointing out republican lies in a negative light? Should I have used John Kerry getting swift boated? Would that be more clear?
What makes you say that?
Picture of Willie Horton. GHW Bush lied about Dukakis’s role in freeing him during the 1988 election.
You new here? Lie better is rule number 1 of politics.
And vibes won, so maybe we shouldn’t dismiss them out of hand
10-ply soft.
Ah. I thought she was a state magistrate. Did not realize this was in SDNY. Thanks for the info and the encouragement. Have a good day!
Exactly what I thought. Thank you. Also, thank you for reminding me of the word moot. It wasn’t coming to me as studying for the bar has turned my brain to mush.
I’m not familiar with NY criminal procedure. Isn’t the magistrate judge done with her role in this? Like shouldn’t this be on the way to the trial court? I don’t know what other motions she would hear or orders she would issue, so why would recusal matter
Well said. I would like to add that that inability to see the bright side inherently distorts your view of the world unless you work really hard to not let it. Depression lies.
Ooo that’s a good one. I worry whether she could resist it if Charles Wallace was in danger.
Hey we all make mistakes. They shouldn’t have such similar names. It’s really their fault you got them confused.
So you just mentioned that the story was in a reputable publication to bolster your argument against the story?
The Inquirer ≠ National Inquirer
So tired of people complaining about this. Low pay for the office means only the rich and the corrupt can afford to serve. It incentivizes accepting bribes and inappropriate gifts.
I’d like to see this number doubled and tied to strong anti-corruption legislation. Better carrot, bigger stick.
