A political cartoon showing Alberta premier Danielle Smith and education minister Demetrios Nicolaides as firefighters who are shooting fire out of their hoses to burn books, in an allusion to Ray Bradbury's dystopian novel "Fahrenheit 451." The cartoon is a comment on the Alberta UCP government's effort to ban books from schools.

Some thoughts on the Alberta UCP govt's latest overreach. Although the UCP was just shamed into pausing the order, the book bans will no doubt rise from the dead shortly just like a character from a book that’s still in your school library…for now.
