It was definitely a nice boost to my afternoon
The doctor at the clinic today told me I was beautiful.
he shows that love is about being there, hard times and good times, his stubbornness of loyalty saves Frodo time and again until he literally carries him on his back. Wow, it’s easy to see why this trilogy is revered as the best fantasy of all time. Can I read it again right away, please?
Frodo’s claim of the ring at the end. So hear this, have mercy on people for you don’t know how things will turn out.
But let’s be honest, Sam is the main character here. Without him this tale would have failed. He is the emotional centre..
being unable to enjoy the shire as he once had is really the heartbreak of the book. Also, Frodo choosing mercy throughout this tale is the ultimate win, if he had not shown mercy and had killed Gollum at any point it would have bee the downfall of all as there would have been no one to counteract
shortcomings and choosing not to place yourself in that situation also shines through (Galadriel, Gandalf and Faramir all choose to reject the ring because their humility tells them they would not be able to resist it). Then of course the impact that dark times can have on a person, poor Frodo
Sauron and Saruman being bested because they cannot comprehend the idea that anybody wouldn’t choose power if presented to them. They’re so confident in their own ideas they fail to recognise it is the smallest people that may be their undoing. The strength of character to also recognise your
not that you asked but I finished The Lord of the Rings and did a tiny little review of the The Return of the King
The emotional pay off to this story is powerful, tears were shed.
The themes here are so strong, the message of self righteousness of evil shines through here
I’ll never tell

I would have posted an ass pic but it’s pancake day today and mine just doesn’t qualify for that
Thank youuu
Just been told my promotion has gone through, who says Friday the 13th is all about bad luck. (I’ve probably just jinxed myself)
I’m so intrigued to read the partial redraft that Tolkien completed and then abandoned of The Hobbit

After finishing The Fellowship of the Ring I can see why it’s said this story is unfilmable. Not to denigrate the movie which frankly is still a masterpiece but it entirely changes the essence of the story. Can’t wait to read the next two books
the absolute hulking tits on some these men at the gym today. I’m so weak
When I choose to post a picture of my own body, I choose to do it in the way that I’m most comfortable to do so. Taking my photo and altering the setting to show more of my body or highlight parts I chose not to show is a violation. Don’t do that! Some people just have to ruin the fun
🐶
double crown or something, my hair has always grown that way
if it was AI it wouldn’t hurt my back so much reaching for these angles 🥲
finally getting around the reading LoTR (I read the fellowship as a young teen) - my greatest disappointment so far is learning the the pipeweed the hobbits are so fond of is not cannabis but just nicotine. I always imaged Gandalf, Merry and Pippin to just be high as fuck throughout the movies 🥲
