journalists are rude yes, is my comment really that controversial?

We would cease development of new nuclear power stations, as nuclear energy is much more expensive and slower to develop than renewables. We are clear that nuclear is a distraction from developing renewable energy and the risk to nuclear power stations from extreme climate events is rising fast. Nuclear power stations carry an unacceptable risk for the communities living close to facilities and create unmanageable quantities of radioactive waste. They are also inextricably linked with the production of nuclear weapons. Green MPs will campaign to phase out existing nuclear power stations.
I am just going off of the green party manifesto, this looks like nuclear hate to me.
I think the main guy probably came with the other guy wearing a billboard. I never said it was particularly respectful, I compared it to what journalists do and then said there was no intent of violence.
How am I a troll? I've been respectful and just posted some opinions. I support Ukraine.
Sure, I never said journalists weren't rude, just that it's something they do and society generally allows it
that is a very odd thing to say, I have no idea what made you think of rape fantasies
1. Sure it is a bit rude but as a society we do allow it
2. That square is a space for everyone and she is a public figure, you are allowed to ask questions as long as you keep a fair distance
3. Maybe lol
The boiler analogy breaks down as there are quite a few individuals involved in this. I just meant that the main guy only wanted to ask a few questions. He is filming himself, no way does he want to do anything violent.
Isn't he just doing what journalists do all the time?
that paper uses transformer models and LLMs are also transformer models, it also uses reinforcement learning in training and LLMs do as well
are they really so different so vastly different?
Considering we don't understand how human thought works, how can you claim that LLMs do not approximate it?
Also no one is saying LLMs are as conscious as we are, just that we cannot disprove they exhibit some tiny flashes of consciousness.
They would try to offset this by building more wind and solar but if we look at germany as a case study this does not work, you end up importing or falling back on fossil fuels. The end result is more expensive energy.
I think the greens would first scrap all new nuclear sites in development, which is really bad. Then they would start the process of slowly decommissioning the existing sites. That probably takes longer than a 5 year parliament term so the downsides would take a while to kick in.
ok google 'green women's declaration lawsuit' if you are interested
makes no sense to remove nuclear (which is zero carbon) while it is supplying 13% of our energy right now
The other part is to do with gender critical women being ejected from the party and then suing the green party based on the equalities act 2010.
I misunderstand that the Greens want to phase out nuclear power?
The Greens want to stop nuclear power and spend half their budget on lawsuits because they discriminate against women. Not a serious party
It really depends on why. If their religion tells them life begins at conception then as much as I disagree with them, I don't believe they are anti-abortion for bigoted reasons.
I believe he just has an opinion on a medical intervention for children. I don't see why that counts as bigotry.
What did he say?
do you have a screenshot of Professor Jacob George mocking trans people?
I did offer to agree to disagree lol, it's obvious we aren't going to change each others minds
I think we just disagree on what counts as promotion vs reporting, if the guardian followed the standards you are proposing they would have to avoid covering a lot of major stories related to controversial figures
No? I can think for myself. Harry Potter is a large franchise with multiple stakeholders, just because the writer is a vocal TERF doesn't mean reporting on anything Harry Potter related is transphobic.
I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one.
you said "Hp does nothing to help man or is something that one needs to function in society", none of that stuff is needed to function in society. It's all relevant to the film industry.
I just think it's crazy people are saying the guardian is transphobic
That is not how we decide whether things are newsworthy in the film section of The Guardian, like look at the stuff next to it:
idk they are all newsworthy, my point is that reporting on stuff is not the same as endorsing it
I mean, if they report on a SpaceX rocket launch or new Tesla model does that make them transphobic too? Elon is similar to JK Rowling
I know JK Rowling's position on trans people, just curious how the guardian reporting that a Harry Potter store is opening makes the guardian transphobic.
