I am utterly disappointed with the dialogue surrounding the men's Olympic team... It should have been a great celebration of a memorable sporting achievement. Instead, it's another thumbtack on 🎃 and MAGA political commentaries.

...is a dark stain on the league. At least for the American players. How can we diss our own women's team? And how can we diss our northern neighbors - who admittedly outplayed the US team in technical ability (the US squad played with better discipline and utilized their counterattack...

Instead, they giggled like prepubescent boys snickering at some lewd joke. Is that what our Olympic team is like?? I have been following NHL hockey for a long time, and I recognize (ironically) that American players do represent a minority of the playing pool [most are Canadian...]. But this...

And the most disgusting moment came when 🎃 made his typical sexist remark about the woman's team - who actually won gold at these Olympics also. The team had a chance to correct him, or at least distance themselves from the rhetoric...

... is a good reminder about their mentality. But it is equally shameful that the men on that team allowed such a travesty to unfold. They could have been sporting men - celebrating their opponents who contested the final. Instead, they yelled "Close the Northern Border"...

The fact that MAGA Idiots crashed the celebrations while the players were still in the locker room is more a reflection of the leadership in this country - frat boys thinking themselves above the norms of sport. I mean, 🎃 standing at the center of the Club World Cup celebrations last summer...
