I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

…“Running into the darkness, some hurt bad, some really dying
At night sometimes it seemed you could hear the whole damn city crying
Blame it on the lies that killed us, blame it on the truth that ran us down”… Backstreets - Bruce Springsteen.
I captured a stranger’s face through my cameras lens today.
But once they’re frozen in my camera’s memory, are they truly strangers anymore?
A moment shared—fleeting, yet intimate.

How do you repair a house once strong, now divided?
Start with honesty, compassion, grace, and shared hope. Like this Upper Nyack home—old, historic, weathered, and still standing.
A reminder: even in our divided political climate, repair is possible if we choose to rebuild together.

I “Hiked the Hook (Mountain) Like HOPPER” with fellow Edward Hopper House Museum members—fun, challenging, & truly inspiring!
This very path likely inspired Hopper’s 1899 watercolor Off Hook Mountain, Nyack, now at the Whitney. Amazing views, great company, & a deeper connection to Hopper’s world.
I’m creating “negative” slides for an upcoming project:
#anthotype is a photographic printing process that uses photosensitive material derived from plants, fruits, or vegetables and great for the environment!

Bench Kings of 90th and West
Linen shirt, loafers neat,
Coolest style on a city street.
Shades low, moving slow,
Dog at his feet with a bad-ass glow.
Central Park hums in summer light,
Pigeons flutter, tourists take flight.
Man and best friend, calm and dressed,
Bench kings ruling the Upper West
A lone figure steps from the glow of streetlights into shadow—caught between light and darkness in a city that never sleeps. ………….………………………………………… #onadigitaljourney #life1frameatatime #streetshotphotography #documentaryphotography #humanisticphotography
