Due to lack of a kitchen and bathrooms, Coffee Hour on Sundays will take place downstairs in the newly renovated "Reid Room" (named for parishioner Bud Reid, who passed away in 2025). There is an elevator available for those who need it.

view inside our parish hall, from the stage towards the kitchen. there is a wall across the room blocking access to the kitchen, bathrooms, and upstairs offices. bottom half of the wall is plywood, top half is plastic sheeting. there is an access door at either end. various bits of construction equipment are in front of the wall.
A temporary barrier has been erected across part of the Parish Hall to keep the debris from the renovation contained and to make the rest of the hall and stage still available to the Sunday School.

view into our church kitchen, very much under (re)construction. in the foreground is a wall, with a large window in it, where we used to serve coffee, etc. and open concrete blocks where the front counter used to be. we see through that window into the kitchen itself, but it's all walls and floor. No cabinets or counters, no stove, no sink, no table. at the back of the kitchen, we see the window to the outside.
Phase 1 of the Parish Hall renovation has begun! Parishioners will not be able to access the church through the Parish Hall doors during the renovation. Please use the Main Entrance at the back of the church.

The starkness, I find, is what makes it beautiful, and quite appropriate for Lent. Would LOVE to see pics from Palm Sunday. (-Janice)

Livestream - Holy Eucharist, First Sunday in Lent -- February 22, 2026
YouTube video by St. John the Baptist (Dixie) Anglican, Mississauga
Thank you to Sharon Ochawa, Michelle John, and Eleanor Ty for their work, and to our wonderful Sunday School members.
At St. John's, children are not "the future of the church." They are the church, now!
You can watch the whole service here:

four images from our All Ages livestream last Sunday. top image shows various children eagerly watching as Fr Daniel puts the black cloth on the cross. (choir is in the background.) bottom image, left, shows children standing at the front and singing. bottom image, centre, shows children joyously helping celebrate the eucharist. bottom image, right, shows two children reading lessons from the lectern.
We began Lent with a wonderful All Ages Service on Sunday. Our children led the worship with readings and prayers (including a wonderful prayer written and led by Mikayla), helped @revdaniel.bsky.social bury the alleluia for Lent and delighted us all with a song: "Rejoice in the Lord Always."
