It doesn't matter whether it was the entirety of the bill or not. It doesn't matter whether they represented the beliefs of millions of Dems in doing so. None of that was what you originally asked, you're just trying to weasel out of admitting that you were wrong.

So this is what's known as "shifting the goalposts". You didn't originally ask whether a Democrat had "championed a bill or released an EO to bar trans women in sports", so this shift rather suggests you recognise that someone called you on your bluff but you don't want to admit that you were wrong.

Nah, Trump is too proud and self-centred for that. He'll want to go down in history books (such that there'll be any) as the president that ordered a nuclear strike on Iran.

He also keeps threatening an attack "at a level never seen beforeβ, which would indeed suggest nukes, given what we have seen before

Donald Trump is threatening Iran with a military response "at a level never seen beforeβ. Given what we in fact have seen before, namely in Nagasaki and Hiroshima, is he suggesting that he might nuke Tehran?

How much more evidence do we need? The ultra-rich and the governments supporting them will destroy everything for the sake of profit, power and pride. Nothing is precious to them - not human life, not the living world - except their own wealth and status. Our survival depends on resisting them.

Stella out of interest what aspects of this bill do you think are worth hearing out, such that you won't be voting to block it? Personally I can't really see any redeeming quality to the idea of restricting trial by jury even just for a limited range of cases.

Hey Casey just to note that in that article, the link to your "full ethics disclosure" re your wife's role at Anthropic doesn't link to that page at all but rather to an article about OpenAI protests. I assume this is a mis-pasted link or something?

Imagine an "Orientation critical charity" called Sexuality Matters lobbies for banning HIV treatments . Labour does it after cherrypicking 5/2,500 studies to say that AIDS isn't real. No one can criticize themβOrientation critical beliefs are protected and Labour is packed full of AIDS denialists.

Green win shows progressive voters are now voting against Labour as well as Reform
Gorton and Denton byelection shatters Labour strategy of neglecting its core base while focusing on Reform defectors
I generally assume that political parties know what their constituencies think better than the rest of us do: they spend so much money on polling and focus groups.
But I would be *amazed* if they understood how viscerally they are loathed by young progressives for pushing trans people under a bus.

Yeah I think it was before right to choose happened. Anyway I complained and they pushed back claiming that the guy had done nothing wrong despite me explicitly asking for an ADHD assessment, and I was too anxious/stressed/overwhelmed to fight my case so I lost the best part of a grand for nothing π

First time I tried to get diagnosed back in 2017, I went private as I knew the NHS wait would be too long. Saw a clinical psychologist for 6 sessions totalling about Β£850, and at the end he said "here's your IQ test, I can't give you a diagnosis but you should probably try and get tested for adhd"
