Genuinely shocked by this one.
Just rewatched the first ep - it’s a great economical way to introduce real high concepts and 4 main characters but still include lots of jokes. 11 year old me loved it from the first TX
Tonight’s viewing in tribute
“I just wanted to say that, over the years, I have come to regard you as… people I met”
RIP Rob Grant
Fair enough
“Who’s the lady with the log?”
“We call her the Log Lady”
Perfect screenwriting, no notes
Has anyone done the sweating joke yet? Ah, OK, just checking
On his birthday is a lovely little touch. Well played.
Exactly, a ridiculous stance - my grandfather, called Jack by everyone his entire life, turned out to have been named Wilfred according to his birth certificate...

Pluribus and Squid Game are on my “to watch” list too.
Absolutely loved For All Mankind - strongly recommend (it’s a “what if the space race kept going because Russia got to the moon first” alt-history from the 60s onwards)
Well done on doing a 2025, everyone. Let’s give it some 2026 this time
2025’s basically out the door. Come on in, 2026…
Did a Pixar rewatch the other weekend in order from Toy Story through to Toy Story 3 (except Cars, just can't get into it - a toy ad). Having 10 out of 11 films be amazing (and still fully hold up) is an unbelievable stretch of the highest quality film making. Yes, I still cried at Toy Story 3
Produced/recorded over 60 podcast eps (co-hosted half of them); 4 star reviews at Fringe for panel shows; live storytelling & musical improv for 1st time; singing Rocky Horror(!)-2nd time; poem published; 2 hrs as a puppet judge; fewer spots but more paid. Also, full time job all year. Bit tired now
The brains of me and my brother often work in the same way. We once again bought each other the same present at Christmas (tickets to the One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest play). On different days, mind
Most impressive was the year we bought each other tickets to a Daniel Kitson gig for the same date
Get dressed, ye merry gentleman!
May the day bring you food and drink and food and drink and food and drink and snoozing and games-based-barely-contained-resentment and food and drink and hang-on-no-Doctor-Who? and food and drink and apocalyptic-festive-wind. Enjoy!
