Happy Friday the 13th again!!!

Shelby Oaks was a decent little demonic horror thriller. Had some good creepy moments. Glad they went with a traditional narrative as opposed to full found footage. Wish it had gone a bit harder on gore but that’s just my preference 👺 #moviesky #horrorsky

Yes there is a documentary—Happy Happy Joy Joy: The Ren and Stimpy Story, which is an otherwise great documentary about the show and the people behind it. At one point he is interviewed about the allegations and openly admits to everything, and in expected abuser fashion, he blames the victim.

I don’t know if he rocks so much. Though I wouldn’t cry if he got hit by a bunch of rocks. FYI he’s an admitted pedophile and groomer in case you didn’t know. Also love the cartoon though, grew up on it and didn’t know another creator until recently.

I enjoyed it despite the flaws. The effects problems just made it look more like a video game so I vibed with it.

But these are just nitpicks. I had fun with it and would love to see more Silent Hill adaptations.

It is a good film overall. Sure there are some effects that look a bit wonky but I was actually good with it because it looked more like a video game in those moments. Story was good, some of the subplots could have been scrapped and it really would have benefited from a final boss confrontation…

From this angle, it can be seen that the area behind the door is achieved through a forced perspective painting of the nursery. It is a door inlaid in a wall that has been painted to show the illusion of depth so it appears the door is floating in the middle of the room. Absolutely charming effect 👍
