It’s interesting one of the main criticisms of Pixar over the years is which stories are allowed to be told, which stories are safe, which stories are universal. They have done better with centering non-white stories but that’s about it. They’re still mostly stories that don’t alienate white boomers

I relate. A student at my college alma mater died from cancer and received a ton of money, they built a structure next to the stadium in his honor. Obviously my heart goes out to anyone suffering with cancer. It’s great that people care. But I always have complicated feelings about it after my mom.

People have this tendency to assume success comes from some combination of talent, luck, and hard work. But, while those often play a role, it seems pretty obvious that the biggest single factor is luck. To say nothing of being a monster.

Considering how the last movie’s development went, I wouldn’t be surprised if the director made the animators work so much that they have enough scenes to make all the spin-off films. All while forcing the animators to work obscene amounts of overtime.
