Timely week to be in a Christian ethics conference:
-Ousting a foreign leader and "running" another country
-Govt leaders misleading about federal officers killing a citizen & mother
-Neighbors posting videos of masked ICE agents pulling people out of cars during traffic stops.
And, when they try to lie and say it is about "waste, fraud, and abuse," know that everyone agrees on cutting fraud and abuse--they believe that caring for the poor, children, pregnant moms and programs for people with disabilities is waste.
Could someone please cite a scripture to suggest that cutting healthcare for 8 million people to pay for tax cuts for the rich is in line with Christian teaching?
The House votes to cut:
$800b in health care
$300b in food assistance
$300b in education

The Texas House Public Education Committee is hearing HB 3, the Voucher Bill that would take public dollars that could go to our local public schools and send them to unaccountable private schools.
Call the committee and ask them to vote no on HB 3 and instead direct those dollars to public schools
