Besides, how many of our peers have been spontaneously promoted or been allowed to transition between departments? Almost none. The opportunities we are being told we'll lose, we never truly had to begin with. But we can gain them through bargaining! 2/3
When managers hint that people might lose opportunities if they join a union, they’re using a union-busting staple. The truth is that we will bargain to secure and improve growth opportunities for all. Our contract is what we make it! 1/3

Voting “Yes” to CEWA is not only a vote for your own rights, but also a helping hand for your colleagues who pay 50% of their incomes toward a shoebox studio apartment, receive positive evaluations but minimal merit increases, and are afraid to advocate for themselves at work. 2/3
It’s no secret that by speaking up together, we can accomplish more than one colleague could on their own. CEWA will enable us to negotiate for fairer wages and benefits and give us a voice in our workplace, while preserving what we love.
Yesterday, CEWA and Brookings United joined forces for pizza, pups, and solidarity. As we gear up for an election in two short weeks, we’re grateful for support and solidarity from our @ifpte.bsky.social siblings who share their union wins and remind us of all that we can achieve!
