#PlanetNix 2026 wouldn’t be possible without our incredible Planetary Partners 💙
Huge thank you to @flox.dev PDT Partners, ExpressVPN, Southern California Nix User Group @anthropic.com and Numtide.
Your support helps us bring the #Nix community together!
Where did you purchase it from?
I'm only mad I didn't get one yet. It looks siiiiiiick
Huh?
Need to set the build and host platform

You'll probably also need to configure kernel parameters and modules
Using git information in your nix expressions will cause rebuilds if you change anything
Call for Participation: Nix and NixOS devroom @ FOSDEM 2026
The devroom provides a welcoming space for the Nix community and its extended projects, to give time and space for both technical and non-technical talks about Nix/NixOS.

It's gorgeous! Mind sharing your configs?
Regarding the latter, I'm not seeing any recent PRs. Was it this one github.com/nix-communit...
This is actually NixOS???
How so? On both parts?
I don't even try any more. The conversation just eventually gravitates towards Nix

Ooooh? Who's that? Show yourself!
@isabelroses.com maybe you know some artists? :)
If you have not seen it, we are holding a release logo design contest for NixOS 25.11. Any aspiring artists out there that would like to contribute? We would love to see your artwork! #nixos

A rectangular cake with the Haskell logo on it
These cakes with logos on them keep finding me. First it was NixOS. Now it's Haskell.
Ok thanks for sharing. I am still having trouble groking your exact scenario but I think it's enough for me to speak to.
With Nix, when building software, dependencies are tightly controlled for reproducibility reasons.
For running software, it matters less so.
