In high school, I took French after taking Spanish and was thrilled by the systematic similarities. But I didn't know linguistics was a thing until I took a year off college (I was doing quite poorly because I didn't know what I wanted to major in) and worked in an academic library.

Sometimes when I have #insomnia, I listen to cheesy sleep meditations on YouTube. Sometimes they help, other times they just annoy the fuck out of me. Tonight I am having the latter experience.
