Grant, I regret to inform you one of those is more than 30 years old
Feels amazing to see part of the system actually standing up for the law and human dignity, I tell you what
Like Lupin III, important periods of my life can be cleanly categorized by which jacket I wore all the time.
Every time I think I have my disgust levels of what to expect properly calibrated, things somehow always manage to be even more insane.
The first pictures of the English release of Billy Bat are out! So excited show show off what @lettererbrendo.bsky.social and I did.
These pages have fun bits where we styled the text closer to what an American comic from 1949 would look like. More info in the alt text!
I saw this Pokemon card of Abra where it looked like it was blowing smoke rings, and it made me have to draw this piece - based on the Rankin/Bass Hobbit movie. This is for the 2 other people who will enjoy this.

As someone who has demonstrated the ability to remember exactly how to get to a place I was at one time eight years ago I actually cannot fathom living like this, I feel shame any time I have to ask a GPS how to get somewhere
iirc SaGa was a direct inspiration for PokΓ©mon, too, specifically because of the monsters.
I have tried to used this factoid to get my Pokèmon-loving friends to play Makai Toushi SaGa, to no avail
A Blu ray of a movie called ".com for Murder".
Can you believe they have a dot com for that? So twisted and messed up.
wait, this post is real?

Fun fact: at that temperature you don't need to specify
interacting with dogshit media is so important. Not like 7/10 media either, like actual DOGSHIT. It's good to watch the worst sometimes.
This is 100% correct. imo you really aren't even a position to determine what *is* good if you haven't been exposed to the bad, the mediocre, and the unrealized.
This is actually one of my most deeply-held beliefs. Only seeing the best of the best or the established canon in any medium gives someone a very limited scope to engage with other works. And deprives the viewer of experiencing interesting ideas with flawed execution.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
I wrote this in a reply, but theres a massive irony in the fact the he's appealing to that sophistication himself while sharing ideas as infintile as "durr this whole medium is stupid"
The irony here is that you yourself in making this post are appealing to the trappings of sophistication without actually engaging in sophisticated thought about the subject you're discussing.
The serious question is to ask what a work manages to achieve within its medium. Or would you also disparage Michelangelo's David because it can't capture the human body as accurately as a 3D scan and print?
There is no question of "how well a medium can tell a story," either. Lets put subjectivity aside for a moment--using an imperfect medium to tell a story is inherently a worthwhile artistic pursuit. "Are books better than movies" is just not a serious intellectual debate, and neither is this.
Absolutely rancid take, my guy. This is like saying the interesting and sophisticated thing about photography is how clearly it can capture an image, or architecture is valued solely for its function. Each an important aspect, to be sure, but hardly the only one and often not the main one.
