I'm suing Grammarly over its paid AI feature that presented editing suggestions as if they came from me - and many other writers and journalists - without consent.
State law requires consent before someone's name can be used for commercial purposes.

This is really despicable and I’m reminded of all the LGBTQ influencers I’ve seen promote Chili’s triple dippers and pink glitter martinis and mozzarella sticks all over TikTok and Instagram Reels. They need queer and trans people for marketing, while discriminating against them as employees
Lots of folks asking how to join the class. My lawyers' emails and contact-form here. As well as the complaint if you want to take a look.

She used *our* fucking slogan. we are the ones who have been saying for years—for generations—that #adoption is not an alternative to abortion. Instead of leading with “Here is what those affected by adoption have been saying,” she speaks our truth and reaps the praise.
I really can't wait to see how big the lawsuit against grammarly gets and I hope the plaintiffs sue them into complete and fundamental nonexistence. Like, "the company has to scrap their code rather than sell it as assets, and then also dissolve" nonexistence.
lawyer randos are just walking into federal court and racking up Ws against the federal government lol gj everyone
This is to say: if you're an attorney who's hesitated to take on habeas cases because you think you lack the knowledge, or you're worried about whether you'll really help, I PROMISE you can make a difference. I'm just a dipshit with a 7-year-old laptop and a bad attitude. If I can do it, so can you.
Dr. Bennings' annual compensation package includes a $344,754 salary, $18,000 car allowance, $12,000 expense account, and $20,000 retention bonus, making her by far the highest paid Community College President in Oregon. (The Nationwide median for community college presidents is $273,814)
We are constantly being told by PCC leaders that there is a budget crisis, despite obviously stable, increasing revenue. In fall 2024, PCC President Dr. Adrien Bennings initiated a plan to slash $14M from the PCC budget. Since then, Dr. Bennings has received 11.5% in salary increases.
[COVID zine page 1] There are a lot of vested interests[1] in ignoring a simple truth: [bold, handwritten] COVID is an AIRBORNE disease which is STILL a danger to EVERYONE. But there's so much we can do to prevent it! If COVID spread by droplets and surfaces, then it could be prevented by handwashing—conveniently, an individual responsibility. However, study since 2020 has made it clear: [Bold, handwritten] Many diseases are airborne![2] Including: MERS Measles COVID Chickenpox[3] SARS-1 Common Cold Flu RSV Tuberculosis THIS IS A HUGE PARADIGM SHIFT. Airborne transmission means that building owners need to provide clean indoor air, just like clean water.[4] They can't “wash their hands” of COVID.

Droplet spread theory is outdated. Respiratory illnesses are primarily transmitted by aerosols. www.wired.com/story/the-te...

Every single person connected to ICE needs to be charged and locked away in addition to abolishing ICE and the DHS, and any politician who doesn’t agree with this stance needs to never be allowed to touch public service ever again
i sincerely believe american businessmen forgot that industrial centers are valid targets in wartime just because america has never endured a defensive war
Happy Independence Day to the Ghanaians on here 🇬🇭
a public utility does not need to turn a profit. this is intentional.
"I asked God to forgive me, which he has."
Honestly this is the biggest perk of serving in Congress. Most people have to ask forgiveness and wonder. If you're in Congress you get a same day answer from the big guy.
I'm haunted by a moment from the 2016 primary where Ted Cruz said something like, "experts all agree ISIS formed from lack of economic opportunity, political instability, poor quality of life in the region and we need to address those issues..." and then he paused and said, "what a load of BS."
please subscribe to my podcast, i think you will "like" it
If you couldn't be bothered to write it, why in the name of all things holy, unholy, and mundane should I take the time to read it?
world-altering decisions are being made by a cabal of gambling addicts hell bent on self enrichment no matter the cost to humanity, we should look into that.
you wanna know why people with long COVID are insistent about masks so much so that they "annoy" you?
Because there is often no real treatment/care easily accessible for many of us.
Workplaces make it hard for us to earn a living.
Have a little consideration, ffs.

Our county jails in Oregon killed a woman a few days ago. They say she was uncooperative and then suprise they killed her. People in jail are human beings who deserve human rights.

Please read this article to the end. Even before ICE got involved, this started because this *blind man who speaks no English and uses a curtain rod as a walking stick* got lost on a walk and some Karen called the police on him and they tasered and beat him bc he didn’t drop the rod. WTF
One side unilaterally and hastily deciding what Indigenous rights may or may not mean is just peak settler colonial
Replaced with what. REPLACED WITH WHAT?
This is a well-reported piece AND what I want to hear is what this couple has ACTUALLY learned from their experience and how that will inform future political choices they make - they don't seem more empathetic.

There have been really vile ableist truly stomach churning responses to this incident but Chanda puts it best. We can all understand the disability and its symptoms and his lack of control over it. The one form of control he actually DID have was to not potentially subject Black people to the slurs.
Alright, y’all…
