Alternative photography highlight: abalone shells, with plant emulsion, cyanotype and gilding. Created from images I took while visiting Lotusland and imaging what the shells saw before they were placed in garden themselves. On view at Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara until month end.

A pinhole camera made from a thrifted music box. I used a snail planter as my subject. 10 second exposure, Harman positive paper. Print developed in homemade tea developer.
