This morning the nurse asked me if “my heart rate was always this low” and it’s the nicest compliment I’ve ever received.

I had debated subscribing to @theatlantic.com. Then Ryan Miller of my fav band @guster.bsky.social wrote this piece abt their show at the Kennedy Center which I attended. The Atlantic is a bright spot in the bleak world of journalism. Subscribe.

Same goes for @vanhollen.senate.gov!
Ashamed of my hometown Senator @schumer.senate.gov but grateful for my new Senator @alsobrooks.senate.gov for standing up to fascism.
Listen, I believe that 80% of Coldplay’s music belongs in a dumpster, but I’m listening to Parachutes this morning and that record is damn good.
This Sam Fender album sounds like what ChatGPT would give me if I asked it to make my musical tastes into its own genre.

An American now holds the world 🌎 record in the mile and 3000m. We are in the glory days of U.S. middle distance running. 🇺🇸
It’s a good year for US middle distance running!
I just want to say that I called that Whittni Morgan win on two different text threads. I have witnesses.
Ok it does appear three American men have held the world record in the steeplechase. The last one was in 1952.
I did a quick look and don’t see an American ever holding a world record in the 3000, steeple, 5000 or 10000.
Has it ever happened?
When is the last time an American held a world record in 3k or up?
Welp. It won’t get better than that.
*insert annual comment about how this is the only sporting event I care about this weekend.*
Please play in drag.
Pretty pumped for this. Our Airbnb here turned out to be a scam but we will carry on!!
There are more dudes with living room sets and big professional microphones posting reels than there are actual podcasts.
